The Tribe story

The journey from Uganda to the rest of the world...

Do good. Have fun. Bring people together.

Create memories that will last forever.

The Tribe Experience is an intimate community travel adventure, in some of the most spectacular and under rated travel destinations around the world.

Launched in 2021, The Tribe Experience has taken over 500 adventurers, including friends, families and solo travellers, to Uganda. Our first ever festive experience in Zanzibar, in 2023/24 sold out and in February 2024 our biggest ever experience took place in Uganda. 2025 will see our biggest adventure yet as we climb Mount Kilimanjaro for fun, for fitness and for purpose.

All Tribe experiences include a packed itinerary of community experiences and once in a lifetime activities, including gorilla trekking, safari and white water rafting and plenty of music and entertainment along the way.

Community

Environmental stewardship is central to our operations; we strive to minimize our ecological footprint and educate travelers on the importance of conservation. We hope that by introducing clients to the effects of climate change and wildlife conservation in Africa they in turn make small changes in their daily lives to protect our natural world. By adhering to these principles, we aim to foster positive relationships with our clients, local communities, and the natural world, ensuring a responsible and enriching travel experience for all.

European club promoter Kai first travelled to Uganda in 2015 and fell in love with the region of Kabale. On this first trip he went on a boat tour of Lake Bunyonyi with local tour guide Martin. This would be the start of an incredible friendship built around a mutual love of dance music. Kai has returned to Uganda many times since, taking multiple groups of volunteers to build and maintain The ONE LOVE Project (formerly The ABODE Junior School) and other community projects.
