Overview

After a hugely successful expedition in February 2025 - where 43 fundraisers conquered Africa’s highest peak - in 2026, we climb again. For fun, for fitness, and for purpose. With every step, we raise funds and awareness for Angels Gate and Feathers Tale, two life-changing projects supported by the Last Night a DJ Saved My Life foundation, in Tanzania. This is more than just a mountain. It’s a life-changing experience that pushes your limits and opens your heart. We offer support, training guides, and advice every step of the way. You’ll climb with a crew of like-minded legends, and we promise: you’ll never forget it. So, dig out your climbing shoes, tune in to the rhythm of adventure, and join us for the ultimate Kilimanjaro experience. Big love, The Tribe and LNADJ x Last Night A DJ Saved My Life Foundation : Registered charity in England & Wales no. 1142478.

Highlights

The Fun - the climb of your life!

The Fun - the climb of your life!

LNADJ are the original Kilimanjaro party starters! They made history in 2018 when they set the world record for the highest altitude DJ set and before that, in 2016, they took Carl Cox and Fatboy Slim to the Houses of Parliament where they threw an underground party! Fuelled by a shared passion for partying and a cosmic commitment to giving back, The Tribe and LNADJ are the ultimate tag team, tackling projects with purpose and making sure every moment is a celebration. Join us for this extraordinary adventure and we guarantee if you put the hard work in, when the mission is complete, we’ll throw one of the greatest parties you've ever experienced!

The Fitness- up for the all-nighter?

The Fitness- up for the all-nighter?

You need to be in good physical shape to climb Kilimanjaro. If you can run for 30 minutes two to three times a week, and enjoy an all day hike at weekends, you should be fine. When it comes to the trip you will need to have the ability to hike for 6 hours a day, on consecutive days, on mountainous terrain. Now, let's talk summit night. Many say it's the hardest thing they’ve ever done and it's far more about your mindset than your physical strength. If you've mastered the art of pulling all-nighters, then you will be ready for summit night! With the right preparation, you have a 96% chance of summiting on the Machame 7.

The Purpose - what's the point without purpose?

The Purpose - what's the point without purpose?

In 2026 we will climb Kilimanjaro for two local children's homes who LNADJ has worked with for many years. These are Feathers Tale Special Needs Home and Angels Gate Street Boys Home in Moshi, near Kilimanjaro both founded by Share Tanzania. Every guest who joins The Tribe x LNADJ Kilimanjaro Climb in 2025 will be expected to raise a minimum of £1,000. On our first day in Kilimanjaro and prior to our climb, we will visit both Feathers Tale and Angels Gate to align our mission with our purpose. Last Night A DJ Saved My Life Foundation : Registered charity in England & Wales no. 1142478.

Hosts

Our experience team is lead by Aloyce (AJ). Born in the Serengeti region and raised in Arusha, the safari capital of Tanzania, AJ has climbed Kilimanjaro hundreds of times and led 43 of The Tribe Experience guests to the summit in 2025. Meet our diverse team of climbing hosts, including our very own TV medic, Kyle Raffo, who bring a range of skills, personalities and personal touches to your experience.

Emily

Emily

Emily kicked off 2025 from the rooftop of Africa, joining forces with her good friend and LNADJ founder Jonny Lee to lead 43 adventurers to the summit of Kilimanjaro. With a background in production and operations - and a lifetime of partying in extraordinary corners of the world - she's the reason you can live in the moment on every Tribe experience. She believes passionately in the coming together of people to make magic happen and when she's not sprinkling her magic on Tribe Experience's, she's sprinkling it in Ibiza where she runs The Tribe Travel Company.

Hannah

Hannah

Hannah first climbed Kilimanjaro in 2023, inspired by her time on The Tribe Uganda Experience the year before. That journey sparked something big - and in 2025, she returned not just as a climber but as a leader, heading up our project team and guiding the full experience. We genuinely couldn’t have done it without her. From adventure to travel to trekking, Hannah lives and breathes it all. She brings heart, discipline, and energy to the mountain, turning every challenge into a moment of magic. Get ready for someone who leads from the front and makes sure everyone behind is safe.

Andrea

Andrea

Andrea's first fundraising adventure with LNADJ was hiking 186km unassisted around Menorca. LNADJ's superstar events coordinator and passionate outdoor adventure seeker, Andrea, lives in the French Alps, where she has been based for 19 years. She is currently in Chamonix, leading the preparation for the LNADJ 3 peaks challenge in June and leads the way in our team when it comes to preparation! She has sailed the Atlantic as part of the ARC race, hiked 100km in 4 days for the Streets of London charity and was part of the first group to do the Sinai Trail where she hiked 12 days in the Sinai mountains. Built for the mission? I’d say so.

Trip Tips

Climbing Kit

Climbing Kit

You will need to have a tried and tested kit with you. Sleeping bags, walking poles and sleeping matts can be hired at a small additional cost if you wish. How much you choose to spend on your equipment is a personal choice however if you have no kit and choose to buy mainly second hand from sites such as Vinted then expect to spend around £300. Detailed kit list will follow in June 2025.

Tipping Porters

Tipping Porters

The Tribe is proud to work in association with the Kilimanjaro Porters Assistance Project (KPAP). KPAP is about the fair treatment of guides and porters, regulating tips and treatment. There will be a large number of Tanzanian guides and porters helping us on our trek. KPAP has produced tipping standard guidelines which are a necessary additional cost on the trip. All tips are in USD cash, per day, per porter: Porters $7-10 Cook $10-$15 Assistant guides $15-20 Local Head Guides $20-25 Additional duties attract extra tips. Expect between $300/$400 per person in tips, in addition to the trip cost. Many people also choose to donate part, or all of their kit, at the end of the trip in the iconic tipping ceremony.

FAQs

Yes. You will be asked to complete a medical declaration form in order to attend the trip. For some medical conditions including knee and back injuries we may require a Drs certificate stating that you are safe to take part in this trip. We will contact you to discuss any issues raised on the medical declaration.

Yes. However, although we will have a doctor supporting the trip, there is very limited access to medical treatment on Kilimanjaro due to its remote nature.

We will organise some training weekends in the UK, to help you prepare. We have a direct relationship with The Altitude Centre and will be arranging some altitude specific training at their London centre. There may be extra costs involved.

You will need standard travel insurance plus high altitude insurance. It is compulsory to have high altitude insurance to attend the trip. Normal travel insurance (including winter sport cover) does not include cover for over 3000 meters. In 2025 the cost of this insurance was around £150 for the 7 days. In the weeks running up to the trip we will require a copy of the insurance documents.

British passport holders will need a visa to enter Tanzania. It's a straight forward process which can be managed online. You can also do a visa on arrival. A detailed visa guide will be shared nearer the time. To apply for your visa online visit https://visa.immigration.go.tz/

You will need to have a tried and tested kit with you and we will share a detailed kit list at least 6 months prior to departure. Sleeping bags, walking poles and sleeping matts can be hired at a small additional cost if you wish. How much you choose to spend on your equipment is a personal choice however if you have no kit and choose to buy mainly second hand from sites such as Vinted then expect to spend around £300.

Yellow Fever is compulsory when entering Tanzania from certain countries. If entering from the UK you do not need Yellow Fever (as at March 2025). Please check the medical entry requirements from your country of origin.

There are other medical recommendations when entering Tanzania, including Malaria tablets. Please seek advice from your doctor or pharmacist.

January and February is the first "short dry season" on Mount Kilimanjaro, making it a great time to trek. This time of the year tends to be colder than the longer dry season of June-September and you have a higher chance of encountering snow on the upper reaches of Mount Kilimanjaro. Kilimanjaro has five distinct climate zones, beginning with a subtropical zone and ending with an arctic one! Tried and tested all-purpose hiking equipment is required. Night-time temperatures can get very cold above 3500m so warm clothing and sleeping bags are essential.
